Culinary times in the Salzburg Sportwelt
Salzburg is famous for the carol "Silent Night", for the tales of Karl Heinrich Waggerl and the typical advent carol singing. In the Salzburger Sportwelt, advent time is also a silent time. From the first weekend of advent the "Christmas tree town" St. Johann invites you to stroll through the streets.
On December 5 and 6, a so called "Krampuslauf" takes place in St. Johann. A special for families is the traditional "Alpine Advent" (06/12/09, Culture- and Congress-House near the minster St. Johann) with musicians, singers, and a Christmas play, as well as the KIWANIS-Adventmarket with more than 20 market stands.
In Radstadt you can experience a contrast to hectic shopping stress during Christmas time. The Adventzauber near the Zeughaus am Turm is a romantic dream with Christmas cookies, liqueur, ceramic pottery, crafting factory, fairy tales and harp music. You feel the advent atmosphere also at the Christmas market in Radstadt.

Silent Night at Waggerl's Home
The "Silent Night Wagrain" is devoted to the famous Christmas carol. Experience the Christmas market (28/11/09) at the center of Wagrain with the traditional Joseph Mohr Exhibition at the Waggerl-Museum.
